Work Hard - Play Hard
Here are some of the things I love to do:
- Business Intelligence
- Play Guitar
- Troll Forums
- Automate Some More
Usually when I'm asked the question about
- what I'm passionate about
- what does success mean to me
- where do you see yourself in 5 years
- any variation of the above questions
I'm happy as long I can continue to find new and interesting ways to gather information on the Internet, and set up automations to make my job easier to do. Automation is a way for me to become more efficient at the things I need to do, thereby freeing me up for more time to do the things I want to do like relax and play sweet melodies.
While I do have a wide range of interests, much of my digital life involves finding innovative ways to discover information and present it in a new light.
I have experienced first hand Cameron's technical, SEO and digital marketing expertise. He has a wide range of skill sets and as a self motivated individual, is always actively adding to his own core competencies. He is highly data driven and exacting in execution of all projects and campaigns, from keyword analysis to domain migrations, classic SEO tactics to inbound marketing strategies.
Cameron and I are kindred spirits. We read the same tech blogs, watch the same keynotes and tinker around with the same gadgets. If we’re not conceptualizing new tools to help us do our jobs better or mulling over the implications of the latest Google algorithm update, Cameron and I can probably be seen standing together at the back of a packed concert.
What can I say about Cameron that hasn't already been said by tons of people already? When I say that Cameron is a "Jack of All Traders and Master of ALL," I sincerely mean that. Everyone is quick to run to him for advice; and he, just as often, offers to help out in any way he can. Whether it's introducing a remarkable new tool to his teammates, building an advanced, convoluted spreadsheet to help gather data (Not part of his job description, by the way. He's just that awesome.)
I envy Cameron’s apt knowledge on technology and ability to whip up a new application or tool. He’s created many tools to help our department be more efficient: Google docs to keep us organized and auto-generated charts for content ideas and resources. He’s also helped me on two large projects. One being the Twitter for eCommerce eBook, in which he helped develop and implement the tools for tracking, which were a key component in our research.
